Prague, Czech Republic — October 2025. Across the nation, teams of Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology have spent the month of October restoring parks, forests, and city streets. More than forty separate actions took place in Prague, Brno, Plzeň and Pelhřimov.
Each week, fifteen to twenty volunteers joined at least eleven community events, logging 117 hours of service plus another 100 hours for a large cleanup in Brno where 150 bags of litter were removed. In Plzeň, they tackled an abandoned forest used as a camp, leaving the site clean and safe for residents.
The volunteers act on principles from L. Ron Hubbard’s moral guide The Way to Happiness, demonstrating how practical ethics can translate into visible environmental change. A donation of clothing to a Catholic charity rounded out the month’s humanitarian work.
“Helping is a universal language,” said Ivan Arjona, the Church’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN. “When people decide to care for their surroundings, they uplift the whole community.”
